Do you really offer free roof inspections and estimates?
Yes, both are free with no obligation. We inspect the roof, photograph what we find, and give you an honest recommendation with an itemized estimate. If the roof does not need work, we will tell you that too.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. James Russell Roofing & Restorations holds Tennessee Home Improvement Contractor License #12180 and is fully insured. We are also BBB accredited with an A+ rating since February 2019.
What areas do you serve?
We work from one office at 6584 Poplar Ave in Memphis and serve twenty-one Mid-South communities across Shelby, Fayette, Tipton, Lauderdale, and Haywood counties in Tennessee plus DeSoto County in Mississippi, including Germantown, Bartlett, Collierville, Cordova, Arlington, Millington, Atoka, Munford, Covington, Ripley, Stanton, Mason, Lakeland, Brighton, Eads, Somerville, Rossville, Hickory Withe, Olive Branch, and Southaven.
What warranties do you offer?
Atlas shingle roofs carry a 10 to 15 year materials warranty followed by prorated lifetime coverage, and Owens Corning roofs carry a 10 year materials warranty. We add a 3 year workmanship warranty on replacements and a 1 year labor warranty on repairs. Warranties are transferable if you sell your home, and we register every warranty with the manufacturer for you, which is rare in the industry.
Will you help with my insurance claim after storm damage?
Yes. Storm damage and insurance claims are one of our core services. We document the damage with photos, meet the adjuster on site, and work with your insurance company so the scope of the repair reflects what your roof actually needs.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, through Hearth, a platform that lets you compare monthly payment options for your project — loans up to $100,000 with no home equity required. Checking your options through Hearth does not affect your credit score. You can see your options on our financing page any time.
Do you handle more than roofs?
Yes. The Restorations in our name is real: we handle home restoration, remodeling, drywall repair, painting, kitchens, bathrooms, gutters, siding, chimney flashing, and skylights. When storm damage goes past the shingles, one licensed company stays accountable for the whole repair.
Do you do commercial roofing?
Yes. We install and repair TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, and silicone fluid-applied coating systems, and we are American Weatherstar certified fluid-applied coating installers. Enhanced-system warranties are available on commercial coatings.
Do you work with real estate transactions?
Yes. We provide real estate roof inspections, roof certification letters, and repair work from home inspection reports, on the timelines home sales demand.
Who will actually be doing the work?
James Russell Roofing & Restorations is family-owned and operated by Jaime and Chris Byram since September 2018, with more than 500 documented projects completed. The company that quotes your roof is the same licensed, insured company that answers the phone and registers your warranty.
